Caramel Macchiato Recipe
This delicious treat is a variation of a Latte Macchiato. It’s a very milky coffee with a caffeine boost from the shot of espresso, adding the caramel syrup adds the sweetness to make this a very luxurious drink.
A modern day Latte Macchiato tends to have three layers in a tall glass – warm milk at the bottom, milky coffee in the middle and milk foam at the top.

Ingredients
– 1 shot of of Espresso coffee
– 25 ml of cold milk
– 150 ml of hot milk
– Caramel syrup (amount depending on the size of the glass and personal taste)
– Your Espresso machine
– A tall glass
– A metal milk jug and milk thermometer
Process
1 – Pour the syrup down the inside of the glass.
2 – Pour first the cold milk and then the whisked hot milk into the glass.
3 – Add the milk foam.
4 – Prepare the espresso and pour it into the glass.
5 – Add a bonnet of milk foam.
Tips
– You should use an electric milk frother to heat and froth the milk.
– Pour the milk into a warmed glass to serve drink at the perfect temperature.
– Slowly pour caramel syrup on top of the milk so that the coffee will form a layer between the milk and froth.
– Drizzle more caramel sauce on top to decorate.
